The Art of Integration – May 2012

The Infants’ Home and Charles Sturt University (CSU) have published a ground-breaking report about integration in early childhood education and care.

The Art of Integration: Delivering Integrated Education, Care and Support Services for Young Children and their Families explains how and why The Infants’ Home provides integrated early childhood services. It draws on documentary evidence and interviews with current and former staff, The Infants’ Home Board members, and parents.

The 36-page report shows how The Infants’ Home has adapted integrated service delivery based on its long-held commitment to social justice, children’s rights, and concern for the most vulnerable people in our society.

The Art of Integration is written by Dr. Sandie Wong and Dr. Fran Press from the Faculty of Education at CSU.
