Board Director and Treasurer Changes at The Infants' Home
The Infants’ Home Board Director and Treasurer, Lindsay Smartt, has resigned and will be stepping down from the Board from 22 February 2024. Lindsay has been a Board Director since 2016, and over his long tenure has brought to The Infants’ Home’s Board a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and robust financial stewardship.
President Mary Verschuer thanks Lindsay for his deep and long-standing commitment to The Infants’ Home and our mission to ‘give each child every opportunity—today and tomorrow. “Lindsay’s ethical and prudent guidance of our financial decision-making has been pivotal to ensuring that, despite significant challenges due to the pandemic and upheavals across the child and family services sector, we remain on a sound path for securing a sustainable future,” she says. “I wish Lindsay well for his future ventures, and I hope that he will remain a valued member of our community and join us to celebrate our 150th anniversary milestone this year”.
The Infants’ Home Director David Jarjoura has been appointed to the role of Treasurer and will replace Lindsay as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Mary and our Board look forward to an exciting period of renewal and growth at The Infants’ Home, as we embark on the next phase of our incredible journey.
