We thank our staff, families, donors and supporters who gave generously to help fund Rigby House renovations. Here is a quick update on this project, which is almost complete.
Our first Crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to renovate Rigby House was held in November/December 2017. We were thrilled to raise $15,322 through online donations, far exceeding our initial goal of $10,000. Our anonymous donor had agreed to match all dollars raised, but went beyond and generously gave us $25,000 towards Rigby for a total of $40,322 - a great result!
We are grateful to all the staff, parents, donors, local businesses and other supporters, including The Royal Australian Navy and Kambala Old Girls Union, who helped make our first Crowdfunding campaign a tremendous success.
Over the last five weeks, Rigby House has been a hive of activity with tradespersons busily working to replace all ceilings and floors and skirting boards, repair and paint walls, and install new cabinetry in the kitchen and bathroom areas, and create a new staff amenities area. This week, a team from the Australian Navy also pitched in to paint the eaves over the large veranda a fresh, crisp white.

Our staff return this week to set up environments and make the more accessible spaces beautiful and welcoming for children. We look forward to giving you another update with pictures of fully furnished Rigby House, ready for children and families.

Families arrive next week to tour the centre and we continue to take new enrolments for children 0-2. From Monday 12 February, Rigby will be open and delivering high quality early childhood education and care.
