On Friday 7 September Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney hosted a special gala dinner to raise funds for The Infants’ Home.
The incredible Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney staff team of volunteers.
The event was a huge success. Guests were treated to a scrumptious 3-course meal and drinks, with entertainment by rising star violinist Anastasia Hibbard and singer Catherine Alcorn, who performed two songs from her show ‘The Divine Miss Bette'.
Gala guests were invited to participate in a range of fundraising games and activities, including a silent auction, a wheel of fortune and raffles with fabulous prizes including hotel stay vouchers, gift baskets, holiday getaways and a $5,000 shopping spree at Robert Cliff Master Jewellers. Whilst the total is being tallied, we estimate fundraising to exceed $45,000 for our programs and services for children and families. Programs to be supported could include our community plagroups or educations scholarships.
The Infants’ Home’s CEO Elizabeth Robinson and parent Yumi Wong-Pan were interviewed by 2CH radio announcer Gareth McCray OAM, who was also MC for the evening, to explain the work The Infants’ Home does with children and families for gala guests.

The evening was also attended by special guests the Consul General of France, Mr Nicolas Crozier, and the Hon. David Elliott, Minister for Counter Terrorism, Minister for Corrections and Minister for Veterans Affairs, and his partner Nicole Elliott.
The Infants’ Home thanks Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney, gala guests and all prize donors, as well as Yumi and Radisson's team of staff volunteers on the night, for their very generous support and for creating such a fun-filled and successful evening.
We extend our special thanks to the ever-professional and enthusiastic Radisson team. In addition to the Gala event, the team coordinated a number of fundraising initiatives in the months leading up to the Gala, including donut drives, online fundraising and participating in the City2 Surf. We cannot thank them enough for their incredible efforts in support of our programs and services for children and families living with vulnerabilities.
