MLC volunteers provide their cleaning and barbequeing skills

- April 18, 2017

Many thanks to the great volunteers from MLC who spent a day at The Infants' Home, cleaning, putting up flyers, and providing a barbeque lunch for our staff.

A team of 13 volunteers from MLC proved hard work can be fun when they took part in a working bee at The Infants' Home. They also put on a free sausage sizzle for staff - Thanks MLC!

The volunteers helped to rebuild a rock wall and install a new outdoor play kitchen at Robinson House, washed all the chairs in Johnson Toddlers, cleaned a carpet in Murray House, and moved the lawns and trimmed grass and hedges, all in 94% humidity!

Volunteers also helped to distibute flyers for our next fundraising event, and cleaned lots of windows, floors and walls across the site.

A big thankyou to their Team Leader Paul Sheehan who's organised MLC teams to volunteer with for us for over 7 years. Everyone had a fantastic day, our grounds look spectacular, and we all enjoyed a chat over lunch.
