Our annual Carols event is always a great start to the holiday season - it’s wonderful to see The Infants’ Home families come together as a community for this fun event.
Thank you to all those families who joined us on Friday Dec 1 for our annual Christmas event, Carols by Twilight. Luckily, the weather held out and we had a wonderful evening of song, dance, picnicking and catching up with friends.
Children danced and played games with Christmas elf-entertainers from 'Kids go Crazy'. Games included musical statues, tinsel limbo and a crazy dancing contest, which was a particular hit.
Special guest Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer had a lovely time singing and dancing with children, and even Santa popped in for a quick visit from the North Pole, and all the children confirmed to him that they have been very good!
Families enjoyed a lovely picnic in the late afternoon sun, with children captivated by the entertainers on stage, as our staff volunteers circulated to sell tickets to our Christmas Raffle.
We thank volunteers from the Australian Navy for helping with set up, Herbalife volunteers for running the sausage sizzle and The Infants' Home staff volunteers for their work selling raffle tickets and marshalling . Special thanks go to our kind Christmas raffle prize sponsors, especially Strathfield Rotary.
Congratulations to their eight winners of The Infants’ Home’s Christmas Raffle, as follows. If you are a winner and you did not collect your prize on the night, fear not! We will call you to arrange pick up.
