Board Director Opportunities

The Infants' Home is looking for suitably qualified and experienced volunteers to join our Board and Committees.

The Infants' Home presented at the AICD 'Boards Seeking Directors' event in Sydney on 25 July 2017. The Infants' Home Board Directors Mary Verschuer, Carolyn Swindell and Sandra Cheeseman, and CEO Elizabeth Robinson spoke with people interested in joining our organisation as volunteer Board Directors, Committee Members or as Company Secretary. 

About The Infants’ Home Board and Committees
The Infants’ Home Board meets 6-8 times a year (meetings 2-3 hours) at our premises in Ashfield and has an annual full day strategy meeting. There are currently four committees of the Board, and each Director is expected to serve on at least one or two committees. All committees meet quarterly, except Finance which meets six times a year.

We currently have vacancies for two Board Directors, one Company Secretary and several committee positions who serve in an advisory capacity to the Board. We are looking for people with expertise in one or more of the following areas: legal, government relations, fundraising, governance, strategic planning, health or similar.
