The Sandpit Rejuvenation Project

- September 8, 2016

The Infants’ Home was thrilled to welcome 14 volunteers from Goldman Sachs on Thursday to replenish our sandpits. Goldman Sachs came as part of their Community TeamWorks program, which supports volunteer projects around the world. The volunteers worked tirelessly from 9am to 3:30pm on a warm spring day to give the children at the centre fresh sand to further support their learning through play.

20 tonnes of sand was distributed across all our centres so that all our children could benefit from the program. Many of the children were very keen to assist the volunteers with the project, and the children in Robinson House helped the volunteers with the big task of emptying the sand from their big sandpit.

The Sandpit Rejuvenation Project occurs on a yearly basis thanks to the generosity of Goldman Sachs and its employees. With the support of our Corporate Partnerships, The Infants’ Home is able to continue delivering quality care and education.

A big Thank You to everyone who was involved in the project.
