On Tuesday 31 May we held a morning tea onsite where we were joined by children from Gorton, Murray and Robinson House, children from our Family Day Care Sydney Wide services and families also came along.
We were lucky enough to be joined by Luke and Oletha, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander musicians, who played and sung some beautiful songs to the children. We also had plenty of art and craft activities for the children that was facilitated by our Allied Health team and Sue Moya (Family Support Worker from the Aboriginal Crisis Service). This was followed by a scrumptious morning tea for all.
Reconciliation Week runs from the 27 May – 3 June and aims to celebrate and build on the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians.
