We are delighted to have been chosen as Westfield Burwood’s charity partner for their 2015 GiveAbility Day, which will be held on Saturday 4th July at Westfield Burwood shopping centre.
GiveAblity Day is an annual event held across Australia on which Westfield shopping centres host family activities to raise money for local charities that help children with disabilities. This year Burwood Westfield has chosen The Infant’s Home to be their charity partner, with all funds raised on GiveAbility Day 2015 going toward supporting our programs for vulnerable children and their families.
The Infants’ Home’s CEO Anita Kumar says “We are thrilled that Westfield Burwood has chosen us to be the beneficiary of 2015 GiveAbility Day. Westfield’s generous support will go a long way toward helping us to ensure that young children living in vulnerable or disadvantaged circumstances can continue to access our essential early education, intervention and clinical services. We invite everyone in our community to join in the fun on GiveAbility Day, and we look forward to seeing you all there”.
The Infants’ Home will have a stall in the shopping centre on the day, and Westfield Burwood will host family activities including balloon bending, face painting, fairy floss, popcorn, lucky dips, raffles and much more, all for gold coin donations.
Melissa King, Westfield Burwood’s marketing manager said: “Over the last four years, GiveAbility Day has enabled Westfield centres to raise awareness and contribute over $1.4m in funds, providing much needed therapy programs, respite services and specialised equipment for local families of children living with disabilities.”
We are looking for volunteers to join in the fun and help out at The Infants’ Home stall on the day. If you can spare an hour or two please contact Anne-Marie Byrne on 8719 5002 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 27 June.
