This week The Infants' Home were lucky enough to receive a visit from the crew of the HMAS Sydney, in the first of their volunteering days for 2015.

Six members from the crew of HMAS Sydney had a day away from the ship and their duties as part of the Royal Australian Navy to do some hard work around the The Infants' Home's extensive grounds. They helped with clearing up debris and leaves after this week’s wild weather, removed some hard rubbish from the site, and fixed the path between Robinson and Rigby Houses.
The crew of HMAS Sydney adopted The Infants’ Home in 1965 as their charity, in memory of shipmates lost on the HMAS Voyager. They continue to be one of our greatest supporters today. Friday was the first of many days to come with the crew lending a hand around the centre in 2015.
Saturday will see them march in ANZAC Day parades in the city. We wish them well. Lest we forget.
