Our long-time supporter Herbalife is helping 20 cyclists to battle extreme conditions and exposed terrain in a 40-hour bike ride to raise $100,000 for the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF); a foundation that supports The Infants' Home's 'Head Start on Health' program.
The Herbalife Family Foundation Bike Ride and its 60-strong team, consisting of 20 cyclists and a support crew of 40, began their long cycle from Geelong on Jan 3 and will arrive in Adelaide on Jan 8.
HFF’s Casa Herbalife Programs have helped fund the ‘Head Start on Health’ health and nutrition program at The Infants’ Home in Sydney for many years, and also supports the Lighthouse Foundation's work with homeless youth in Melbourne.
Event organiser Kevin Beale (above) has raised $30,000 for Casa Herbalife Programs in the past and he hopes to triple his success this time.
Kevin says, "The extraordinary people taking part in this ride are leveraging their new level of health and fitness to help change the lives of children who have faced difficult circumstances such as homelessness. Through the ride they hope to raise funds and awareness of the Herbalife Family Foundation as well as inspire others to get out there, be healthy and enjoy themselves."
