On Friday July 24 The Infants' Home welcomed delegates from the Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association (PECERA) conference, who toured our centres to learn about our integrated approach to early childhood education as the first research activity of their weekend program.
The group of 37 conference delegates, attending from neighboring Pacific nations, enjoyed a presentation on The Infants' Home's integrated service delivery model of early childhood education, care and health intervention services by Johnson House Director Mariam Christodoulos.
The group of academics and early childhood educators toured our centres and playgrounds and were keen to both expore our learning environments and discuss our programs. Their visit was an integral part of the 3 day PECERA 2015 conference, held at Macquarie University July 24-26, to focus on disseminating and supporting research in early childhood education within the Pacific area.
