‘Her glass was never anything but full’: in memory of Robyn Huber

- July 9, 2015

Yesterday The Infant’s Home gathered to mark the unveiling of a Memorial Garden in celebration of Robyn’s life and her commitment to The Infants’ Home.

Robyn, who passed away last year due to Lymphoma, was with The Infants’ Home for 7 years. She was a passionate educator who was dedicated to helping children, families and staff to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.

Robyn’s children Elli and Sigi performed From a Distance, and staff gathered celebrate Robyn’s life and her valuable contribution to The Infants’ Home. Sigi told those gathered that his mum would have been thrilled that such a beautiful garden had been created for everyone to enjoy.

The garden is located next to our heritage building, and features the bird bath that Robyn was instrumental in moving, as well as beautiful garden ornaments and native plants. The memorial plaque sums up Robyn’s ever-positive attitude to her life and work: “Her glass was never anything but full”
