Have your say on proposed changes to child care

- June 30, 2015

The Department of Social Services will be conducting a series of consultation sessions around Australia during July 2015 on the Government’s new Child Care Assistance Package.

The consultation sessions will provide information on the Government’s new Child Care Assistance Package and will give participants an opportunity to provide feedback on its implementation. All stakeholders, including services and families, are welcome to attend. Sydney consultations will be held in the city, Penrith and Parramatta in mid-July; click here for more details and to register.

The Department of Social Services has released a Regulation Impact Statement (RIS) on the Child Care Assistance Package, which outlines the options that were considered in the development of the package and describes the package's implementation options.

Stakeholders can also make comments or provide a submission in response to the RIS here, or complete a short online survey. Feedback needs to be provided by 31 July 2015, and will be used to assist the Government in making decisions about implementing the Child Care Assistance Package.

If you have any questions, email consultations@earlychildhood.org.au.
