Burwood Council are celebrating National Child Protection Week and R U OK Day by holding a Family Fun Day for the community.
National Child Protection Week will be celebrated next week. National Child Protection week is coordinated by NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) and has now been running of 25 years!National Child Protection Week supports and encourages the safety and wellbeing of children and families through the NAPCAN Play Your Part Awards, events, programs and resources.
To celebrate this week, Burwood Council have organised a Family Fun Day at Portland Street, Enfield Park (near the Enfield Aquatic Centre) to promote Child Protection messages, and are combining it with R U OK Day.
The Infants' Home will have representatives at the Interagency Stall, together with Burwood Council and other community groups. Please feel free to come by the stall and say hello!
The event will be held on Tuesday 8 September, from 3 pm - 5 pm.
Activities include Arts & Craft, Badge Making, Sensory Water Play Activities, Finger Puppets, Community Soccer (for children aged 6 - 12, and youth 12 - 17) and the information stall.
