Shoppers who visited Ashfield Mall and Strathfield Plaza during the past week are being warned to be on the look out for symptoms of measles.
The Health Department urges anyone who visited the malls during the past week to be on the lookout for symptoms of measles, and to see their GP if they think they may be infected. Measles is highly contagious and the Health authority is aware that a person infected with the virus visited both malls several times between April 23 and 27.
The symptoms of measles include: fever, sore eyes, and a cough, followed a few days later by a rash.
Measles can have serious complications, particularly for young children. For further information, click here
