Vacant positions are exciting career opportunies in a unique multipurpose child and family service which integrates early childhood education, health, allied health, welfare and early intervention services on one site; supporting children and families experiencing disadvantage and complex needs in a coordinated manner in the context of universal services.

We provide integrated early childhood services through five Early Care and Education Centres and a Family Day Care scheme in an inclusion ethos wherein 30% of our families are experiencing a range of vulnerabilities. We provide high staff ratios; strengths based practices, professional development and involvement with community networks. Staff are highly resourced and supported.

Current Vacancies

Maternal & Child Health Nurse (3 year fixed term contract)

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with midwifery and child and family health qualifications to join our outreach home visiting program in the Maroubra and Auburn areas. This new role is a part-time (4 days per week) position for a 3 year term and will be providing individualised supported home visiting to refugee families and those experiencing disadvantage.

For over 35 years The Infants’ Home Post-Natal Support Program has provided child and maternal health services for families with infants aged 0-18 months. The Program includes parent education to families, and community post-natal home visits, with a particular focus on mothers and babies experiencing vulnerabilities, refugee and immigrant communities, young children with physical and mental disabilities, and those who may be predisposed to post-natal depression and other mental health issues.

Postnatal Services Manager (Full-time)

For over 35 years The Infants’ Home Postnatal Support Program has provided child and maternal health services for families with infants aged 0-18 months. Grants and Communications Officer (Full-time)

The Infants’ Home Child and Family Services is an award-winning community-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides support, education and care to help young children and their families build a more positive future for themselves.

We currently seek a full-time Grants and Communications Officer to join our small but busy and friendly Communications and Fundraising Team.

We are looking for a creative writer with strong experience in the production of publications (in-house and external, printed and email marketing campaigns) and information collateral, as well as adapting copy for various audiences, with the ability to tell compelling stories to raise awareness about and funds for our work with children and families.

You will also be responsible for producing applications for community, local, state and federal grants and funding programs in addition to acquitting successful applications.

You will have both the ideas and expertise to engage the community and will be increasingly knowledgeable in the strategic purpose of posting in various social media including Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. You will also understand social media guidelines and analytics, and have the skills required to maintain and enhance our website.

To be successful in this role you will need to have superior oral and written communication skills, demonstrated research skills, competence in working to competing deadlines, and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of people. An understanding of the early childhood environment would be highly regarded.
