Diploma Trained Early Childhood Educator

The Infants’ Home is a dynamic organisation, with a long tradition and strong sense of contemporary pathways focussing on best practice and research initiatives. TIH is a leading provider of quality and innovative integrated services.

The Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) services comprises of five separate children's centre’s covering birth to five years on the one property. We are currently recruiting for a Diploma Trained Educator with previous childcare experience.

ESSENTIAL:

• Diploma of Children’s Services with at least 2 years experience in early childhood services

• Sound written, verbal communication skills, computer literacy and organisational skills

• Current (at least 12 months) First Aid Certificate including Asthma & Anaphylaxis certified current Certified Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience working with children from birth to five years in a centre based environment.

• Sound understanding of NQF, NQS and EYLF and how they inform practice and decision making

• Understanding and valuing of children’s rights in practice

• Knowledge/experience working with children with additional needs in an inclusive environment is desirable.

• Experience and understanding of working within interdisciplinary teams is desirable

Early Childhood Educator

The Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) services comprises of five separate children's centre’s covering birth to five years on the one property. We are currently recruiting for a full time early childhood educator with at least 1 years’ experience.

 

ESSENTIAL

• Certificate III

• Sound written, verbal communication skills and organisational skills

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Confidence in observing, evaluating and programming

• Confidence in a range of documentation styles

• Experience working with children from birth to five years, particularly infants and toddlers, in a Centre based environment

• Knowledge / experience with NQF, NQS, and Early Years Learning Framework

• Knowledge / experience working with children with additional needs in an inclusive environment is desirable.

Casual Early Childhood Educator

The Early Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) services comprises of five separate children's centre’s covering birth to five years on the one property. We are currently recruiting for a full time early childhood educator with at least 1 years’ experience.

 

ESSENTIAL

• Certificate III

• Sound written, verbal communication skills and organisational skills

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Availability to work more than 3 days per week

• Working with Children Check is required

• Experience working with children from birth to five years, in a Centre based   environment

• Knowledge / experience with children with additional needs in an inclusive environment desirable.
